Reflecting on Love/Hate Relationships with Media

While reading through our class boards, I found myself redundantly coming back to thought of students with special needs. Students with visual and hearing impairments and how there are some people that will never have the chance to experience the Love/Hates listed in the boards.
Reflection:
Reflecting back on my post to the Sound Media board..

“I love how the use of just a single or certain sound can portray a particular emotion or trigger a memory.”

“I love watching the news in the morning.. I watch it religiously, but there is just something about NPR that I cannot stand! I cannot handle listening to the news on the radio..  “

Although I hate to admit it, I would like to retract my statement about NPR. As bas as I do not care for it, I realize that some people may only be able to “hear” or “listen to the news”. NPR and all other forms of radio news are a blessing to some individuals. I feel that this in turn relates to my first post to the board about the love of sound and how a particular sound can portray a particular emotion. What a privilege it is to have the technology to portray sound in various forms. What a blessing it is to be able to cherish sound. Don’t take it fore granted people!
